Last night was my first time trying this place and it was delicious! It was some of the best matcha soft serve Iβve had. The flavor was super rich but not overpowering. Iβd definitely recommend eating it earlier in the day because it kept me up all night haha. Staff were friendly. Plenty of free parking in the lot. Lots of seating inside for all party sizes. Lots of people came to study and hangout inside, fun vibe. Itβs connected to the ramen place, which is also cool! Iβll definitely be back!

absolutely love matcha cafe maiko! iβve come here once before to try their banana pudding matcha latte, which was 10/10. come to my surprise they have another option from the banana pudding series, the banana pudding soft serve! This dessert was the perfect summer sweet treat and I cannot recommend it enough to all obsessed with banana flavored desserts (not to mention they have an endless menu of different treats to try). Will be making this my regular spot for sweet treats!

Came here for a quick sweet during lunch. Ordering and paying was done through the kiosk, which was easy to navigate. Ended up ordering two medium-size Maiko Special Parfaits, one made with matcha cold-serve and the other made with ube cold-serve. The parfaits are a little difficult to eat at first with the high stack of cold-serve on top. Once you eat away at it, it gets easier to eat all the layers together as intended. The Maiko Special Parfait with ube had a better taste than the matcha. I would be interested in coming back to try some of the drinks. There are separate bathrooms for male and female, although the male bathroom was out-of-service at the time of my visit. The place is open-connected to a ramen shop, which is interesting to go between the two.

Full heartedly believe this was the best matcha Iβve ever had. Not too sugary and has pretty good matcha itβs not ceremonial but for some premium matcha itβs still so good. I got the strawberry matcha with cheese foam. I would say this is a great place to try if you want authentic matcha with a sweet tooth. It is pricey though for this one drinking being $10.78 buttt I will say the craftsmanship and quality you are actually getting a good matcha. This was literally such a delight. I finished it in 10 minutes.

A pretty cool, straightforward matcha cafe in Kearny Mesa next to Brothers Mexican and Chaba Thai Kitchen. When you enter, youβre hit with the cool A/C, medium-loud contemporary music playlist, and a usually vacant interior filled with small tables. You order at the kiosks in the front right of the store next to the counter. Itβs pretty much self-service matcha. Iβve only had the matcha latte and the matcha tea. Both are really tasty, smooth, and reasonably earthy. The matcha latte is best iced with 50% sweetness and whole milk. Super refreshing without being overly sweet or masking the flavor profile of the matcha too much. For some, the self-service aspect of this place might be a turnoff, but for me itβs kind of a nice reprieve from your typical monotonous service-worker interactions. Overall, really good matcha latte and matcha tea, a bit pricey (but thatβs matcha in 2026), and pleasant atmosphere.
